If you’re looking for the hustle and bustle of Ocean Shores, with a McDonald’s, Hotels, Gas Stations and swarms of visitors there’s bad news – this is not it. (But we are just 12 miles and 20 minutes North.) The good news is that Sandy’s Beach Cottage is a world apart. Just North of where Copalis Beach meanders to the great Pacific Ocean, is a gated community of private cabins. Here you’ll find us! The home is far enough off the highway to prevent road noise, but surrounded by large trees and a very easy stroll down the lane to one of Washington State’s most unspoiled beaches.
Built in 2002, Sandy’s cottage home has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The cottage sleeps up to 6 guests. You can have a few more, up to 8 max (but the other 2 will have to settle on couches.) Because Sandy’s Beach Cottage is on the newer side with a modern kitchen and bathroom. In the winter, the heating along with a tight wood stove, keeps the place toasty warm. The home is still cool enough in the warmer summer months. We stock it with fresh towels and linens, plus pots, pans, plates and silverware for the kitchen. Yep, this means you can whip up your favorite meal, all you have to supply is your choice of food!

Bring your favorite book for the days you’re looking to kick back and relax, the oversized windows provide a lot of natural light perfect for escaping into a novel. Not only are these windows giant, but they also face west meaning you’ll get a glimpse of the ocean. In the living room you’ll find cozy furniture, a mounted television and of course that wooden stove we mentioned earlier. The living area is perfectly ideal for cozying up at the end of the night. Make your way outside where you’ll find yourself standing on the shaded deck. Although, we must say our guests do seem to prefer the fire pit (Sometimes officials disallow campfires if summer is overly dry.) Being in the trees we are somewhat protected from the winds which can kick up especially in winter. Maybe you are one of those folks who love to watch the storms – we sure do. Even though the beach is closed to cars much of the year, you may see light planes land and take off from the beach. This is the only beach landing spot in the entire state. It’s fun to watch for kids and adults alike. About Copalis Beach: When booking with any of our properties in Copalis Beach, you will have endless options for seaside activities. When bringing your friends or family along, we’re sure that each and every one of you will find an adventure worth diving into. Copalis Beach is a coast side community. Here the Copalis River meets the sea and it invites you to explore the wonderful seaside adventures. Visiting during the warm weather? Get ready for clamming season! Copalis Beach is famous for razor clamming. Gather thousands and thousands of these delicious clams. The warmer days also mean you can go fishing, beachcombing and walk the scenic beach hiking trails. Want to head to the beach during Winter too? That’s not a problem! The views are just as beautiful and it’s still a great getaway from your every day life.
