The Space:
Philly Farmhouse is an historic trinity, meaning it has three floors and two flights of stairs. The main floor is the living area and kitchen; the living area has a sofa bed that pulls out to a very comfortable queen. The bathroom is located on the second floor adjacent to the master bedroom. The top floor is a large, open space and as such we have created a layout where it can serve as either a one- or two-bedroom by using the curtain divider.
Guest Access:
Guests have private access to all of the living spaces in the house. The only space that is restricted is the basement.
Interaction with Guests:
I will be available throughout your stay if you need anything. I will not be in the home, but am always happy to help you make the most out of your Philadelphia experience. If you need any advice on restaurants and things to do then please ask!
The Neighborhood:
My townhouse is located in the Midtown Village/Gayborhood neighborhood of Philadelphia, right in between Rittenhouse Square and Old City, and just south of City Hall. The area is known for its lively restaurant scene, amazing bars, and an abundance of narrow, historic cobblestone streets (like the one this house sits on). Not to worry! Though the area may be filled with entertainment, the house is tucked away in a quiet, residential section of streets.
Getting Around:
You are never far from public transportation! There are several subway stations and bus stops within short walking distance. Also, Ubers and taxis are relatively inexpensive for short trips around the Center City area. Street parking is limited to 2-3 hours but there are several lots nearby that charge around $25/day.
Other Things to Note:
The front door has a keypad installed which controls access to the vacation rental. Guests will be given a code to use during their stay shortly before they arrive to check-in.
